Agfa Super Isolette

Agfa Super Isolette samples

These are shots taken with a Agfa Super Isolette on Kodak 400TX film. Apologies for the rather dull set of photos, although I do really like the first one. The problem was that the camera started showing winding issues fairly early on. Not uncommon with these cameras, and I even lubricated the wind mechanism before using it, but it is delicate and prone to errors. So I ended up mostly testing it around the house and in town. You'll note the overlapping frames.
Nevertheless, the Solinar lens lives up to its reputation. The first shot is super sharp. I took a photo of the negative filling the frame of my 24 MP Sony A7II and there is still more detail on the negative, which I could only recover by zooming in more and then stitching the shots. That's over 2600 dpi, amazing. It's the Rideau Canal in Ottawa in February by the way. The longest skating rink in the world!
